You needed to seal the ends of your timber with epoxy prior to the poor, with mixing a small amount then painting it to the ends of timber. Комментарий от : @delwynhallett565 |
Hello! It is an interesting design for stool legs. I am wondering the epoxy is strong enough to hold an adult's weight? Комментарий от : @SamCheng12 |
Thank you, thank you, thank you I want legs similar to this for a dining room table and was hoping it could be done so it can match table top. It turned out BEAUTIFUL!!! Комментарий от : @EstelleCreativeDesigns |
I made a clear stool once. Doctor told me to stop eating clear epoxy. Комментарий от : @wolfthorn1 |
How do you like the rockler miter sled? Комментарий от : @stevesiefken6432 |
Very cool looking stool. I wouldnt have thought about the padauk with the walnut but it really stands out and looks great. Ive made gear shift knobs layering lighter colored wood with padauk but never mixed it with walnut. Thanks for the idea Комментарий от : @davidreynolds4684 |
Im not a safety freak but people be very careful with padauk wood. The oil is poisonous. Just handling it can cause health issues. Breathing the saw dust is dangerous. If you have an allergic reaction it can be serious. Avoid contact with your face when handling or after handling padauk. Комментарий от : @davidreynolds4684 |
How high did the vapors get you when you mixed it wrong? Комментарий от : @davidreynolds4684 |
Walnut is a tight fiberous wood. Near indestructable. One of my favorites to work with. Комментарий от : @davidreynolds4684 |
I was praying you werent going to attempt to break the walnut with your hand. Ive wailed on 1" several times in the past. Ive had boards that took well over 100 punches before they broke. Комментарий от : @davidreynolds4684 |
Уровень английского stool 🗿🗿 Комментарий от : @Aninorp |
You're creative! As for the small air bubbles you've got left in the epoxy, I think I saw others use a hot air blower to get rid of those, during the pouring process. Комментарий от : @Caparico |

Take a look at the positive couple on YouTube, they do a lot of great epoxy work. You can probably get a lot of good ideas and learn about it as well? Комментарий от : @spi1616 |

Omg I looove these type of videos Комментарий от : @RexVonTerror |
can so see someone jumping on the stool not realizing the fragility & it snapping at the epoxy joint Комментарий от : @akira5982 |
Hey man, new to your channel. Very cool! One bit of advice, never reach over and grab the wood so close to the blade. At 10.24 I gasped, like noooooo! Lol not trying to be mean, just saying! Keep up the great work, your vids are cool Комментарий от : @nestorknoxs3795 |
One is all legs are epoxy so it just looks like a floating slab. Комментарий от : @aidanwoodward3975 |

Rear wheel of the truck doesn't have any weight, as front is carrying the engine Комментарий от : @amritpree |
U should have heat the epoxy with a heat gun. To make it clearer Комментарий от : @jamesmitchell8542 |
If you had put the legs in the drill it would have been easier to sand it Комментарий от : @eberretamar8709 |
It's nice but I wouldn't trust it to sit on. Also, why use epoxy to attach the legs? It would be much sturdier if the legs were inserted into holes in the bottom of the seat. I'm curious...has it held up? Комментарий от : @MasterMayhem78 |
All those tools for a crappy chair , not impressed Комментарий от : @lovrotankosic8253 |
gorgeous beautiful first class job 💯❤️❤️❤️🇰🇼 Комментарий от : @Coco-uq1sn |
Use a hydraulic press or a car jack and pin it like a bridge. Комментарий от : @w159 |
the problem with epoxy is that shit gonna yellow. Epoxy breaks down in UV light. Комментарий от : @Unstopapple |
the question is, can you sit on it? Комментарий от : @PumpiPie |

Thank you for showing your process, mistakes and all! So many of these workshop videos are edited to be totally perfect, start to finish - kinda discouraging for a beginner. Thank you for sharing your process with us. It's clear you love what you do, and the final product is beautiful! Комментарий от : @rabbitgiraud4513 |

Please dwell some more on the final product. 15 minute video and not even 15 seconds to drool over the final product! Huh.. Комментарий от : @lhxperimental |
Nice Job. If you had drill a 3/4” or 1” hole in the ends of each broken leg to allow the epoxy inside, the joint would have been stronger. Thanks for sharing, Great look. Комментарий от : @alinthekeys |

dude that chair is for 50 kg max ppl. if my grandma hilga sits on this it will be reduced to splinters for fire starter. Комментарий от : @Sun_Tzu1 |
My saw...my sander...my this my that. No idea why you Yanks do that. Try saying “A” or “THE” and see what a difference it makes. We know the equipment is yours. Otherwise the video is awesome. Комментарий от : @momostube9625 |
You know you're using that blue snowball in the wrong way right? Комментарий от : @AZ3Chan |

Next up, invisible stool 😂 Комментарий от : @allydaquipil |
Generally, when mixing larger batches of resin and hardener, it cracks because the mix reaction is exothermic, so it expands and contracts a lot. I would have poured it one leg at a time. Комментарий от : @rafzan |
Try getting a Shure sm58 and a Behringer UM2, your audio quality will increase tenfold. It will ignore a lot of your room/fan noise and will have waaaay better sound quality. Your lighting and videography skills are too good for your voiceovers to be that trash. Комментарий от : @MusicFella |
Duuùuuuud put a mask when you use the epoxy !!!!!!!!! Комментарий от : @user-ub9xf1le5n |

Sorry for my English. Will this chair break, will it be under weight ?? Is it practical? Комментарий от : @dmytrii297 |
Бля, в бы в России иметь такой инструмент Комментарий от : @user-ug6wm1lz6k |
I'm gonna try this, but making a cane for my mother. Instead, I'll just get a dowel and break it and then stuff the broken ends into a piece of PVC pipe and fill the pipe with resin through a hole in the side. Much simpler, but probably won't be as nice. But I don't have as many tools, or as much money for expoxy... so I'm gonna have to get creative. Great video, nice inspiration, and you set a great example by not giving up and keeping a good attitude through failures! I'll definitely check out some of your other videos after this one! Комментарий от : @DanteYewToob |
Looks like you had some bad luck with the build. If only somebody said "break a leg" beforehand. Комментарий от : @NotQuiteFirst |
next time, you should make only 1 leg with wood, the other ones complete with epoxy, that would looks like the chair stands only on 1 leg. :) or the legs complete with epoxy and put an led inside the leg. i helped a friend of mine to do this, because i have a company and work for over 25 years with epoxy. there are so many possible things you can do with it. it's only important, to use the right epoxy, because not every epoxy is the same, but i'm pretty sure you know this. :) Комментарий от : @gfde7421 |
Loved the stool! If you want to get clearer resin they use a pressure pot and put your batch of resin in there before you pour, this will drastically decrease the fog. Комментарий от : @callumblees8179 |

Isn’t stool just a backless chair Комментарий от : @liquidstrife772 |
I could see the broken one lol 😂 Комментарий от : @frankybaez1737 |
This is fantastic! I've got to be safety police tho: Uncured epoxy is pretty toxic and will do some serious damage to your lungs if you're cutting it on the table saw or sanding without a mask. Комментарий от : @ryandury |
This is the coolest thing I have ever seen!!!! Комментарий от : @MadlyMandy |
To break it with one solid piece use a 10 pound minimum weight dead blow sledge and 8th inch cuts and swing like you're thor! Комментарий от : @jordanl5628 |
