 | Its curious, Baldur's gate 2 was the far better game and where most of its legendary reputation comes from. And yet the star of the game was Athkatla the capital of Amn, which, as a city, is far more developed in that game than Baldur's gate ever was in the first one.  | When I was a little kid, my dad had a 6-disc Baldur's Gate pc game. It was suuuuper hard, at least that's how I remember. I couldn't even leave the city without dying everytime.  | The time I spent playing the BG saga was some of the best moments of my life. I have really good memories from this franchise. It is amazing how immersive these games could be. They have way better graphics and technology today, but the games aren't a fraction of what BG was. And I tried many of them... This is why I don't have high hopes for BG III. Bhaal returned when Viekang (the teleporting coward) killed the Bhaalspawn (or was killed by him, it's ambiguous) during Murder in Baldur's Gate storyline, then transformed into a Slayer and was eventually killed.  | I can't understand the hype about BG3 when we have a history full of failed sequels which ended up to destroy the entire franchise. And even when they goes good, like Fallout 3, ended up being nothing with the original game besides the lore.
