Back for my dose of Tilt since life’s getting choppy in this unhinged world. His stories force me to NOT SNIVEL about it & Jocko reminds me to get after something & move past it. 🇺🇸💪🏽 Комментарий от : @gypsyfirefly8009 |

Simply put: Amazing Комментарий от : @SalernoOfficial |
I think another reason for comm windows with SOG and other Long Range Recon Patrols was the limited range of the PRC25 . They needed a FAC Aircraft or a radio relay team on a mountain top within range to pass comms along . Комментарий от : @Mosey410 |
So, honored to have watched this!!! " King Bees Never Rest " Balls of steel. !! Комментарий от : @valentinevega7090 |
P.O.S veteran John B.S Meyer using another tool for his fake stories to back his false books. Total for profit fake company. Do not believe this man. Комментарий от : @chrisbrinkmann2177 |
Okay who farted at 2:04:12 😂 Комментарий от : @claydayungin7833 |
just started listening to Jocko, really podcasts in general, I was listening to this and the sappers part caught my attention, I met a homeless veteran when I was about 10, my stepfather was a heroine addict and he brought this vet to our home a couple times, I don't remember his name (I wish I could) or most of what he shared with me but the thing I do remember was he did stuff in Laos and Cambodia in the mid to late 60's, he said he was a green beret, some kind of advisor, did this and that, BUT he and his buddies used to run around with garrot's and empty bags (he said a competition, you figure it out), what caught my attention was the sappers and how they operated because this guy would run around with only bdu bottoms and a t-shirt, similar to the sappers, get in and out quickly and quietly filling up the bags (he called them potato sacks), I'm 61 and thinking about this has it around 71-72 when I was 10-11, way before Laos and Cambodia were even mentioned in the US, I mean I was in grade school watching the news nightly with my grandparents and going to school and I never heard anything other than vietnam, and after going through the Army myself, his terminology was very accurate in my memory, my question is can anyone verify if we had troops operating like he told me, I mean as a kid that grew up with cowboys and Indians, watching war movies and playing army, what he said didn't bother me the way it bothered him (long story), just trying to confirm if the garrot's and bags were legit, when I was in the Army (82-84) serving with vietnam vets, I never heard anything like this other then from him.....war is hell... What was the true Russian involvement in vietnam? Was any Russian troops ever seen or captured? Комментарий от : @dustancorpman4574 |
It’s hard to know what is the authentic truth or an embellished interesting story. It sells books. And we shall never know. Комментарий от : @steveo3831 |
I've watched the sog podcasts multiple times and Jocko's mouth open astonishment at some of the stories has me laughing out loud everytime😭🤣🤣 Tilt is such a legend of a man Комментарий от : @TheIvanMilky |
God bless the veterans 🙏. Thank you. I love this podcast. Комментарий от : @jakewebb2129 |
The one thing I see from all interviews of SOG guys. They all speak highly of their little people or the team, never themselves. I didnt get that in the John Plaster episode. He was the star. Tilt, The frenchman, Dick, all praised their little people, Covey, and Tac-air. I watched these interviews over and over. I wish a movie was made. Комментарий от : @marcleblanc7021 |
"Tilt" as some us in San Diego call him, is a great guy. I've known him and a lot of the the other local Special Forces Association guys since 2006. True Patriot. Комментарий от : @sheepherder4489 |
Someone needs to get Clint Eastwood to film this bad ass man’s story. It needs to be on film!! Комментарий от : @gypsyfirefly8009 |
I just finished both books and now this podcast. Welcome home sir ! My father was a Seabee in county three tours but never speaks of his time over there. My spare father Was marine force recon pulling missions across the fence for two tours coming home only because he was so shot up they wouldn’t let him come back. Your books have given me the first hand accounts that I needed to understand the men that did so much to shape me as a man. Thank you for so eloquently telling your stories. Комментарий от : @7milfam |
When we're in asia again these stories are gonna inspire thenextgen of warfighters. Комментарий от : @HAMMERTIMEBB |
Thank you, Tilt for your courage, commitment, and duty you displayed and performed! You are an American Hero Par excel-lance Комментарий от : @FESpecialties |
When I hear a Vietnam Special Operations Veteran's account frequently the missions are about getting dropped somewhere to "find out what is going on" or to "see what they are doing." So after they found out what was going on or saw what they were doing, how did the U.S. ensure that what was going on or what they were doing stopped. The whole idea of a war is to make sure the enemy stops what it is doing and does not do it anymore. So what is the U.S. military's track record for making sure the enemy stops and does not do it again? Комментарий от : @thomasfranckowiak5930 |
Wow Jaco Joe Rogan these are Real American badasses.Real Heroes and Super Stars that did not get paid and enough Thankyou S O G members you guys are Awesome. Комментарий от : @bryanjackson1866 |

I admire the financial independence of people, But you can live better if you work a little more. After watching this I think there are people out there, on the extreme, who plan to die early just to be able to retire early. To each their own but to me, retirement isn't just about not having to work, it's about having the freedom to do whatever you might reasonably want, such as travel, buying things, enjoying life, etc. I don't think I could retire with less than $3m in income-generating investments, maybe $2m at the very minimum. I plan to work until I'm at least 45 Комментарий от : @BrunoLuke |
I will say i was a pog and dont take any offense to that because I'm not a pussy but Im proud to say i was not a fobbit Комментарий от : @andrewwright8507 |

Jocko is the greatest interviewer on earth. I bought all of “Tilt’s” books. What an incredible time in history for our US special forces. I can’t even imagine doing this shit! Комментарий от : @Millennial87 |

American made means American jobs, self sufficiency, quality and pride. Комментарий от : @k.b.6331 |
Miracle that he is/was alive to talk about it! Sounds like you were right, compromised at the planning site, compromised going over the fence, compromised on the multiple insert tries. Kind of makes the Idaho team was doomed. From a non-combat, cherry boy scope dope, I see one hole in the whole strategy, that of Vietnamese support troops. As good as they seemed to be, as honorable and faithful as they seemed to be, they had their children and wives and inlaws to protect, they could not all be trusted. I have to read the book, because it sounds terrifying. Комментарий от : @EdSZiomek |
TILT Is just an awesome fucking human being. Комментарий от : @hulkangry5546 |
You guys are America.. Комментарий от : @jeffcouncilor6621 |
I've thought alot about the why these guys did this. Adrenaline junkies. Pure & simple. Комментарий от : @abehall1619 |
I have to ask about SS Roy Baungard... I just recently read Millers book and he and all his platoon mates spoke very reverntely about him, yet it's as if his memory has been erased from all SF history. Комментарий от : @Rebel-Rouser |
can you please tell your guests not to chew gum, it really can be heard on the mic? thank you. Комментарий от : @nifskope0947 |
Absolutely intense & incredible stories...ordered his book. War is completely ugly. Vietnam was so jacked up. TYFYS. Комментарий от : @nicholaskoenig3106 |
Jocko after reading every excerpt: 😮💨 Комментарий от : @nathankulisch9208 |
I read in some magazine article somewhere that a infamous American MACVSOG operator named “Mad Dog” Jerry Shriver was known for using a customized M3 Suppressed Greasegun in combat and preferred sub machine guns over longer barreled rifles like the car-15. To people with tactical/gun experience; why would Jerry have this disposition? Комментарий от : @northw3st78 |
Love the Olds 442- Had one in 1971 - 1973. Комментарий от : @sidbemus4625 |
This guy makes Rambo look like a pussy, what a legend quite possibly amongst the hardest men ever to have lived! Комментарий от : @donnathompson3960 |
In one of these podcasts with Stryker he mentions that his unit had the only ice machine in the region. I’m now neighbors with the man who traded a Thompson to get that ice machines from the SeaBees. That makes the second veteran I heard about online before meeting them (the first was an Army veteran of Baghdad and Kandahar who had a truly embarrassing day). Small world! Комментарий от : @WisdomThumbs |
Love Tilt's little higher pitched laugh when talking about something really.... Western. Like a little kid giggling about something he just destroyed. Комментарий от : @Dwendele |
The craziest part is Tilt tells these stories like they were fun adventures, so it’s easy to forget that their missions would break most men, physically and mentally. Truly a testament to his mental strength Комментарий от : @nameespinoza6555 |
Jocko has created the best Podcast. His voice and energy and his guest list is all A+!! Jocko Podcast and The Shawn Ryan Show are my 2 favorite. Комментарий от : @SgtBama |
We got a perry fryer emergency lol Комментарий от : @filibandicoot1580 |
Tilt is the definition of bad ass motherfucker.👍🇺🇸🤘🇺🇸☝️🇺🇸 Комментарий от : @hulkangry5546 |
Nothing is spookier to me than a lost team in Nam with no coms to hear what happened. Комментарий от : @friscostreetstories5403 |
Cut here tattoo is bad ass Комментарий от : @marcosflores1459 |
The marine pilot Don Persky is from St.James Missouri was was my neighbor growing up and he always told me he couldn’t talk about some Vietnam stuff or he would get in trouble Комментарий от : @tomeickhorst6787 |
Maybe Everyone else wants to Label Schroeder USAF because he's too high minded for them to lend a minute to watch and observe. Комментарий от : @jenx8842 |
The Germans tried to say I was a spy. He called me a mouse. Hmm. I said they call it a mole in my camp. Remember small by Mighty. Apparently they didn't get to watch Mighty Mouse. Good Gracious Man. None of them are to trusted and none of them are friends. But you can't kill the nurse or the cook. GMOH Комментарий от : @jenx8842 |
This guy has liquid nitrogen in his veins, pure ice cold to do this kind of work and talk about it so nonchalantly Комментарий от : @notkimjongun2283 |

Stand down.. thank you Echo and Jocko you guy need a tv channel I can lock into my kids phones, Xbox, etc. I do what I can but they need to know their dad isn’t just some weird guy they are stuck with. Although I am that guy. Комментарий от : @psoren423 |
So many times listening this Hero speak my hair stands up, then just euphoria as the inevitable “slick & quick” transition to drinking beers with a pilot or eat and pick the next mission. Can’t wait to read the books. Комментарий от : @psoren423 |
What a character, some great stories from tilt and the other members of SOG 👍 Комментарий от : @codenamenoob4973 |
