 | The moment I saw snipper for the 2nd time, things got disturbingly dark. It was established early on that snipper was just a figment of Dora's imagination. So how can he exist midway in the movie? Because everything that happened from the museum scene onward, were also just figments of Dora's imagination as a form of escapism away from the depression & stresses of her parents going missing & her high school problems. This isn't just some crazy conspiracy, I think this was, to some extent, actually intended by the movie makers. Its suddle enough for kids to not get it, but for adults to be captivated by it.  | I watched this movie last year and absolutely loved it! I thought the humor was silly and funny, and Dora was sweet and kind-hearted. The scenes with her breaking the 4th wall were actually in the universe of the movie, which was unexpected and hilarious. I felt some of it was pretty predictable, but it wasn't bad in that way. I absolutely love Eugenio Derbez and will watch basically anything with him in it, so that was part of the reason I liked it so much. And SPOILERS when he turned out to be a bad guy and not just a silly dummy, I was surprised because it totally fit the movie and him to just be a silly dummy and a comic relief character. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and thought it had a great message that you should be true to yourself. The other students think Dora is weird and probably crazy, but then they realize that she is incredibly smart and clever and can get them out of bad situations. Diego grew not to care about what others think about the girl he likes, and they all became comfortable with having fun and enjoying themselves without having to feel self-conscious around the other students. Like, I think the movie tried to explain how people can be socially awkward but will be good in their own unique thing and other people won't understand that, making them the awkward ones, or something like that. It isn't really switching in my opinion, I think it's more of the usual life lesson made for kids and teenagers that watch the movie about how you dont always have to be ordinary and like everyone else.
