I moved to South Texas in 2018 and miss S.F. so very very much. this is the best treat I can imagine watching. I enjoy while on my stationary bike. I get verklempt watching. Love Love Love this so much. Question: are you like 7' tall? or what. I assume you have a helmet on of some sort with your go pro on top. but still, you are so tall over everyone. The only not-so-fond memory is having experienced the Oct 17th, 1989 Lomaprieta earthquake which I thankfully survived unscathed! Last time I was in San Francisco was in 2003!  | I cannot thank you enough for posting this video. My brother moved to SF in 1991, the year I graduated college. I wanted to move there so badly, but love, marriage, death, illness, aging parents, second marriage and children kept me in NJ. I sit and watch videos like this and imagine this is my life. I've been to visit over a dozen times throughout the years, and my children love it there as well but it is just SO DARN EXPENSIVE!!! I am thinking, plotting, planning and scheming any way possible that I will be able to manage the move there . I need to be there. This is the life I should have lived.  | I enjoyed the walk, thanks. I spent time in S.F. late in the hippie days (1973). I spent the night in the Grateful Dead house in the Height. After the band left the house because of police raids looking for drugs the Grateful Dead let the hippies use it to crash in. Don't remember much furniture in the house but plenty of floor space.  | The hostel I stayed at during my only visit (so far) to San Francisco was the white building on the left at 1:34:11. Dorm room had a great view of the bay, complete with the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. I purposely came into the city over the Golden Gate and can remember the thrill I got coming around the hill and seeing the bridge and the bay up ahead. I also walked halfway across it the next day. Looking straight up at those towers as I walked past them gave me the heebie-jeebies much more than looking down at the water.  | Absolutely fantastic video, I really enjoyed seeing the piers , the waterfront and, particularly , the Palace of Fine Arts (at 1 hr 58mins) , somewhere I'd never even heard of- just a stunning place. Also enjoyed walking over the Golden Gate Bridge ( both ways!). It looked like a really cold & windy day when you filmed it & you must have some stamina to walk that distance, very well done.  | I lived here a year and a half ago on the outskirts of the city. Loved this area, the weather, the food, and you're in the middle of everything so you can go to tahoe, chico, Sacramento, LA, etc. I couldn't as I have stage 3 crps and cant go on long car rides, but I did go to Tahoe a few times and its only an hr plane ride to get to san diego and my fav place was Carmel! If you could go on a walk around carmel and Monterey that would be amazing! Nothing is more gorgeous than that 17 mile drive and ive been everywhere in california, been to several other states and Rome! I love how pier 31 always smells like the sea!  | Wow! I have never seen skies that colour anywhere else in the world. Or maybe I'm not paying attention. You can smell the atmosphere of salted ocean breezes and I'm pleased you didn't overlay this with music because atmos was all the further enhanced by albatross calls and the bustle of metropolitan living. I think Frank Morris, the prisoner who escaped from Alcatraz in 1962, must have actually made it to some surrounding coastline. I can't imagine security was all that sophisticated in 1962. Which also clears up misconceptions about ancient classical Roman civilization not having implemented systems for justice, crime and punishment since I can see the parallel for the development of this modern day metropolis with that of Ancient coastline ports of Neopolitan Italy.  | I think the way you do this is amazing. You are fairly inconspicuous, although once in a while someone glances at you. I finally saw you when you addressed us and how your camera on a pole works. Have you ever had someone recognize you or want to talk to you? How do you handle that? Obviously you do not need to exercise to stay in shape, I saw your climb up those stairs at Mt. St. Helen...yes you stopped a couple of times , but of course that was only to show us the view:) I live in Ferndal,Wa. near Bellingham, only a 3 hour or so drive from the mountain.
