 | 25yrs on this earth and most of them were spent listening to Mac, I even have the man tatted on my arm permanently, every time I listen to this song, i get a form of closure and cry tears of joy, lots of them when singing along to this....this was the perfect post-humous album for Mac and I will forever be grateful that they allowed this to see the light of day.  | For some reason, that lean just has this ability to grease up those lyrical road blocks. Really opens the soul when an artist is able to grease then mental rusty gears up. I know. Writing lyrics is tough when you hit those blank walls. I used to write a lot of poetry when I was in Okinawa in the 80's.  | man. this song takes me to such a specific, tough time. wife kicked me outta the house and i didnt see my 3 year old daughter for like 35 days. the first month or two i was in a state of shock and desperately trying to keep myself together. after work i would walk around horn pond near my house and listen to mac miller. it was april and the weather was real nice. this song and a few others. i listen to this and i can literally feel myself walking that lake and feel the sun on my face and the way the air felt. that whole time is carved out in my head. this song takes me directly back to that. crazy.
