| I played the reaction game along with them by hitting the space bar to pause the video then counting my reaction time in frames. My best was a 3 frame pause, although that was more likely a read.  | if chugga's having trouble with a more classic style kirby game (if a bit harder than most of the classic style kirby games) and, if i remember correctly, liked return to dreamland, he probably should try more of the modern kirby games like triple deluxe and robobot and even star allies. they're a little easier and even if the last one has way more appeal to older fans than usual by bringing back old characters it's still a fair starting point i think.  | I don't know precisely why (my best guess is because Pokemon invigorated the idea), but yeah, the early 2000s had a LOT of companies developing portable games meant to connect with each other for multiplayer game modes, or at least trading data with each other. Games like Mega Man Battle Network or Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow allowed players to trade their respective collectables across games to complete each other's collections (like trading Pokemon). Then you had cases like every Super Mario Advance game (and Superstar Saga, surprisingly) being able to connect with each other to play multiplayer Mario Bros. (as in, a remake of the arcade game). This stuff is so cool because now you didn't have to suffer split-screen when doing multiplayer since everyone had their own screen. But it also sucked because there was so much hardware involved in making these experiences happen. And if it was tough back then, trying to set those games up nowadays would be akin to a coven of wizards gathering materials for a ritual. (I want there to be a comic series about that, LOL.) Like I said in an earlier video (assuming I posted that comment, probably Episode 4), Nintendo really half-assed the Wii U Virtual Console when they released GBA and DS games on there. Developers of the time those games were originally released focused a noteworthy part of their games crafting multiplayer experiences through handhelds (leading to the wireless communications of later handhelds, and possibly even to modern mobile games), so seeing those features lazily BUTCHERED on the Virtual Console releases infuriated me. Amazing Mirror was the breaking point, as the game was designed FOR multiplayer like Four Swords was. So yeah, I'd love to see a remake of Kirby & the Amazing Mirror in the future, and like so many GBA games or Gamecube games which used GBAs as part of the design, the Switch would be an excellent time to do that. ...or even better, a new Kirby game designed like Amazing Mirror. I don't even advocate remakes often, but if they can fix issues with the original release or portray it in an interesting way (like how FE: Shadows of Valentia added a new theme about "nobility"), then go for it. Masae's score will represent the guests, and Lucah's score will be averaged with Jon's.]) The Placements for Games 1, 4, 13, 14, 20, 21, 25, and 29 were already decided for me at the end clear as day. The Placements for Games 2, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 12 were decided by taking the total Deaths and subtracting that number from the Collected Items to make a score, the lowest score wins. (Friendly Fire deaths don't help, just hurt someone else) (Damage taken has no effect) The Placement for Game 7 was decided by taking the results of the different games they played and developing a score based on if they won, and the difference between them and the winner if they didn't. The Placement for Game 9 was decided by taking All PvP and Boss battle wins, Revives and Levels, then taking the sum of all that and subtracting the deaths, then finally adding 1/10 of all remaining Total gold on hand. The Placement for Game 10 was based more on board wins than stats since first place in terms of board wins was 2nd as far as cumulative stats. Other than that, stats still chose the placement. The Placement for Game 11 was based on the wins across all the different modes. The Placement for Game 15 was based just on the Stage Wins and Electoons Saved because it is very easy to die in Game 15, and it would be unfair to judge who was best at a game where you are expected to die at least 300 times if you play with others. The Placement for Game 17 was decided like 2, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 12, but the stats were provided in the comments by +ninjaydes. The Placement for Game 18 was decided by the amounts of deaths each player suffered in game, with the game over adding 5 deaths to the counter, but the stats were provided in the comments by +SourceOfBeing. The Placements for Games 19 and 26 were decided by stats provided in the comments by +CrazyDK96, with 19 being the amounts of deaths each player suffered in game, and 26 is the number of hearts lost times the number of fairy loss causes. The Placements for Games 22, 23, 24, 27, and 32 were decided by the stat tracking ranking I performed myself throughout the Collab.
