Bob Schieffer of CBS said that for years she would call him in New York and offer to sell him more information about her son's childhood or pictures from it, often starting the phone call by saying she needed so much cash to pay upcoming bills. Had that not happened, perhaps we could have avoided at least a lot of the conspiracy industry that has distorted the ways in which we think about the assassination for so many years.  | I’ve visited it about 20 years ago as it is the 6th floor museum now. After viewing the site from the window, l did finally realize that one person with sharpshooter status (as Oswald has) could have pulled this off. I am not here to debate how many shooters there were. I leave that decision to you all. All I am saying is that, until I visited the site, I never thought a lone gunman was even a remote possibility.
