 | So my issue right now is definitely fear and over thinking it. I have been thinking about this for 3 years now. I have an idea for a niche. It’s not really a reaction channel but more of a commentary channel. I wanna find content of people doing messed up shit and calling them out and exposing them for the garbage they do. For example. The BLM founder is misallocating funds to buy these million dollar homes. And I would love to do a video about the things she’s doing wrong and my opinions about it. So something like that. But my issue is that I don’t know how exactly I’m gonna format the videos. Also, I know how to edit a bit but I’m definitely no guru at it. The best I can figure my niche is retired Grandma, embracing retirement, making a buckey list, and then checking destinations, experiences, off. Ex.  | Peace of advice as a tiny channel… it’s easy to fall in the clickbait trap. I had three videos that fell into the trap. How? It was title and thumbnail that really drove curiosity and interest but it was off topic and off subject. And after a day of noticing clicks but no watch duration is when it clicked on my mind (no pun intended lol). I’m getting clicks but people aren’t watching.  | I watched the whole video, but somehow I missed what the choices are with season. So, I am going to call my season Spring even though I am in the Winter of my life. My goal is to take a recent frustration with volunteering for costuming for what I thought was a student theatrical production of "Little Women" without realizing before hand that the deadline was two weeks and that demands for both volume and quality were going to be so high. I am choosing to back out of the production at this time, and using what I have learned so far in costuming and hopefully, at an upcoming open mic, recite a poem and motivate young people to join me in a series of beginners teaching beginners about Victorian costuming. I have gone from beginner to intermediate in my crochet skills and I hope to do the same with millinery and sewing. If I could get more photogenic young people to get involved in a fund raiser for a local falling apart barn, we could actually get some productions where all young people and older as well can get involved in live theater. The barn needs a new roof amoung other things. I am thinking the subject of Victorian costuming and being a beginner at recreation might be a popular Youtube topic. I am very proud of how that bonnet I am working on that is crocheted, but looks like it could have been knitted is turning out. I want to hang on to it and remember how I did it and teach the design and technic to others. I would like to do the same with hat making and sewing. Anyway, Winter turning to Spring.  | I am just coming across this video two years after it was posted but I’m still gonna share. I’m in season one “start” and I’ve heard it plenty of times to just hit record and every time I wouldn’t get what I wanted so I would ditch the whole thing and start over. I picked up that this was a mistake and I’ve sorta “punched perfection in the face” and decided to just use what I had and learn. I used to want tons of angles and had tons of ideas and I got so wrapped up in angles and fancy looks I forgot to show the story I was trying to tell. I learned that I was trying to start at the finish line. I’ve made things a little more simple for myself and it helped a lot. I recently took video and I didn’t get a lot of what I was filming and decided to take it home and continue to make a tangible video and sadly I fell into old habits, I didn’t think it was perfect so I deleted all the footage to clear up space and now after watching this video I should of just put together a short video and posted it.
